Drinking water and Sanitation

JALANIDHI PROJECT:
Kerala Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (Govt. of Kerala)

With the financial and technical support of Kerala Rural water Supply and Sanitation Agency (Govt. of Kerala) the agency implements JALANIDHI Project in Panamaram Grama Panchayath, Wayanad and Parali gramapanchayath, Palakkad to address the water scarcity problems in rural area. JALANIDHI in Panamaram is a tribal concentrated program. Besides water supply schemes the project provides importance on sanitation schemes also.

 
JAL JEEVAN MISSION PROJECT:
Ministry of JalShkti Manthralaya (Govt.of India) and (Govt. of Kerala)
Ministry of JalShkti Govt. of India, as Implementation Support Agency to transform the rural drinking water landscape in 45 grama panchats in Kerala, ensuring every rural hose hold has access to safe, adequate and sustainable drinking water through IEC activities. Jal Jeevan Mission, is envisioned to provide safe and adequate drinking water through individual household tap connections by 2024 to all households in rural India. The program will also implement source sustainability measures as mandatory elements, such as recharge and reuse through grey water management, water conservation, rain water harvesting. The Jal Jeevan Mission will be based on a community approach to water and will include extensive Information, Education and communication as a key component of the mission. JJM looks to create a jan andolan for water, thereby making it everyone’s priority.
